Arsenal entertained Sporting CP at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.<\/p>\n

The North London club struggled to find the winning goal and had to settle for a hard-fought 0-0 draw (1-0 on aggregate) at the Emirates, which was enough for them to secure qualification into the next round of the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Arsenal<\/a> player fared during the clash against Sporting CP.<\/p>\n

GK: David Raya \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Raya made one solid save at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Cristhian Mosquera \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared the danger when he could, but offered very little going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: William Saliba \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saliba gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

CB: Gabriel \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well and was good on the ball.<\/p>\n

LB: Piero Hincapie \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when needed, but struggled to influence the game going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Martin Zubimendi \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zubimendi anchored the midfield with conviction and made two key chances in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Declan Rice \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

RW: Noni Madueke \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Madueke managed to shine at times on the right flank but didn\u2019t do enough to register a goal.<\/p>\n

CAM: Eberechi Eze \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused a few headaches for his marker, but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

LW: Gabriel Martinelli \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Martinelli was quiet for most of his time on the field.<\/p>\n

ST: Viktor Gyokeres \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He led the line well but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

He made one good chance in the final third.<\/p>\n

RW: Max Dowman \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dowman was lively after coming off the bench.<\/p>\n

LW: Leandro Trossard \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was unfortunate to hit the post.<\/p>\n
