Newcastle United welcomed Bournemouth at St. James\u2019 Park earlier today as they looked to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 32nd minute when Marcus Tavernier got his name on the scoresheet. Newcastle went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

William Osula equalised for the Magpies in the 68th minute, but Adrien Truffert scored the winning goal for the visitors in the 85th minute. The match ended with Newcastle suffering a tough 2-1 loss in front of their home fans.<\/p>\n

GK: Aaron Ramsdale \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one good save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet on both halves.<\/p>\n

RB: Tino Livramento \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Livramento did his fair share of defending and was a strong presence in the air.<\/p>\n

CB: Malick Thiaw \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared his lines when he could, but struggled to keep things solid at the back.<\/p>\n

CB: Sven Botman \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Botman made a lot of crucial clearances inside his half.<\/p>\n

LB: Lewis Hall \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He got stuck in with some solid tackles but offered very little in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Lewis Miley \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Miley came back to defend when he could, but failed to impress going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Sandro Tonali \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He earned the ball back once and made one good run with the ball.<\/p>\n

CM: Jacob Ramsey \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ramsey made two key chances in the final third.<\/p>\n

RW: Anthony Elanga \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a couple of promising runs with the ball but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

ST: William Osula \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Osula managed to shine at times in the final third and managed to equalise in the 68th minute.<\/p>\n

LW: Harvey Barnes \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to get into the flow of the game.<\/p>\n
