Liverpool faced off against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in the Merseyside derby. The Reds made a decent start to the game and scored the opener in the 29th minute when Mohamed Salah got his name on the scoresheet with a good finish. Arne Slot\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Beto equalised for the Toffees in the 54th minute before Virgil Van Dijk scored the winning goal for Liverpool in injury time. The match ended with the Reds earning a last-gasp 2-1 in the Merseyside derby.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Toffees.<\/p>\n

GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few solid saves at the back but had to go off injured after conceding Beto\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

RB: Curtis Jones \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jones performed his defensive duties well and made one good run with the ball.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Dijk put his foot through the ball when he could and managed to score the winner with a good header in injury time.<\/p>\n

LB: Andy Robertson \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared the danger when he could and made one good chance in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch was full of energy and running at the centre of the park.<\/p>\n

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caught the eye at times inside the opponent\u2019s half and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohamed Salah \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah was a constant menace in the final third and managed to score the opener in the 29th minute.<\/p>\n

CAM: Florian Wirtz \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He engineered a few inviting chances for his teammates to score, but never looked like he would get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

LW: Cody Gakpo \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gakpo caused a lot of headaches for his marker and ended the game with an assist to his name.<\/p>\n

ST: Alexander Isak \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n
