Moore said he wants to keep building on the progress he’s made this season and that wherever he ends up next, he and his team will think long and hard about the decision once summer arrives.

He said: “For me, I want to be playing where I’ll play as much football as possible. I want to keep playing games and know that every week I’ve got a chance of playing. So for me, wherever that’s going to be, I’m not going to rush into playing somewhere higher than what I can play, where I’m maybe going to sit on the bench and not get as many minutes. The winner will be announced on 3 May.

Should Rangers push hard to keep Moore for another season?

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND – JANUARY 25: Mikey Moore of Rangers is seen during the Premier League match between Rangers and Dundee at Ibrox Stadium on January 25, 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. Moore netted six goals and notched two assists in 27 Scottish Premiership games, and Danny Röhl has already admitted he wants the England Under-19 star back at Rangers for 2026-27. That backing from the manager counts for a lot, especially since Röhl helped rebuild the teenager’s confidence after a rocky start to the season.

Moore’s strengths are easy to see. His directness, his knack for beating defenders in tight spots, and his calmness in front of goal give Rangers an attacking threat that few opponents can handle easily. After a slow start following his move from Spurs, he turned into one of Röhl’s go-to players as Rangers pushed Hearts and Celtic for the Premiership title.

However, Moore still struggles at times with his decision-making in the final third when under pressure, occasionally picking the wrong option instead of the simple pass that could split the defence. That inconsistency is still something he needs to work on. Rangers remain very eager to keep him at Ibrox for another year, and even if Spurs were to be relegated, Moore would likely stay put. For Rangers, keeping Moore is the easiest way to keep their title momentum going, and Moore’s own comments suggest that playing regularly at a club he likes is exactly what he needs right now.

Rangers have received a clear message from Mikey Moore, who says his main goal for any future loan is guaranteed playing time rather than just chasing big-name clubs or higher leagues.
