If a recent report from the Goal<\/a> (as cited by The Daily Record<\/a>) is believed to be true, Celtic maintain their interest in Oskar Wojcik, despite being knocked back by Cracovia in the winter window. They offered a fee of around \u00a33.5m for the centre-back, but the Polish side demanded a higher fee, having set a valuation of \u00a34.3m earlier this year.<\/p>\n

While the Hoops are likely to return in the summer, it won\u2019t be a free run for them, with Serie A outfits Torino, Fiorentina, and Bologna, as well as Coventry City and several other Championship clubs keeping close tabs on the 22-year-old. Coventry\u2019s promotion to the Premier League under Frank Lampard could fascinate him to ply his trade in England. Although Cracovia are only a couple of points clear of the drop zone in the Ekstraklasa standings, the youngster has been praised for his physical and aerial supremacy, tactical maturity, technical composure and ball-playing attribute. He holds all the traits of a modern-day centre-half, and the Hoops, regardless of having Cameron Carter-Vickers, Auston Trusty and Liam Scales as the senior central defensive options, could bolster themselves in deep defence as part of a squad overhaul.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the future of both Dane Murray and Stephen Welsh is uncertain due to limited involvement in recent years.
