If a recent tweet from Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto<\/a> is believed to be true, Rangers had a deadline-day bid rejected for Monza attacking ace Omari Forson. The youngster left Manchester United last summer to join the Serie A outfit but have struggled for minutes in Lombardy over the past six months.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old forward had his stints with West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur before joining the esteemed youth set-up of Man United. After making significant strides through the academy ranks, Forson was eventually handed a first-team debut by the then-boss Erik ten Hag. He also assisted Kobbie Mainoo on his Premier League debut, as the latter\u2019s 97th-minute strike turned out to be a last-gasp winner in a thrilling 4-3 victory against Wolves at Molineux.<\/p>\n

Although the Red Devils were desperate to keep hold of the England youth international, the homegrown prospect rejected a new contract offer to ply his trade to Italy on a Bosman transfer. But he does not seem to be in Salvatore Bocchetti\u2019s plans as his only start was in the Italy Cup against Brescia. Despite being rock-bottom in the standings, the Biancorossi manager has only deployed him five times in the league as a late substitute.<\/p>\n
