The player is in the last few months of his contract at St. James Park but still wants to play in the Premier League next season.<\/p>\n

West Ham United want to sign Calum Wilson for free in the summer<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Hammers need a striker in the next season because Evan Ferguson might not sign for West Ham United permanently in the summer transfer window. Hence, they are interested in the 32-year-old but his fitness issues could turn out to be a problem for the club.<\/p>\n

Calum Wilson is a force to be reckoned with on the pitch. His sharp instincts and a keen eye for goal make him a constant threat. He\u2019s not just about scoring, though; his work rate is phenomenal, pressing defenders and linking play. His agility and speed are deceptive, often catching defenders off-guard. Plus, he\u2019s got this knack for scoring in big games, which just adds to his reputation as a clutch performer.<\/p>\n

He has appeared in four matches this season in the Premier League, playing a total of 57 minutes. Therefore, he would definitely like to play in a club where he would get more game time. At Newcastle United, Aleaxander Isask ahs been the main striker and hence Wilson at this age has found it tough to get into the first team.<\/p>\n

Should the Hammers sign him?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I\u2019m on the fence about West Ham signing Calum Wilson. On one hand, he\u2019s a proven goal scorer with a knack for finding the net, which could bolster their attack. But his injury history is a red flag; West Ham can\u2019t afford another striker who\u2019s often sidelined. He\u2019s 32, and while experience is great, the long-term value might not be there. It could be a smart move for immediate impact, but there\u2019s risk involved with his health and age. So, therefore, the Hammers should be looking for much more younger options in the summer transfer window to lead their attack in the next season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
