Wayne Veysey has stated in his exclusive report for Football Insider<\/a> that Liverpool<\/a> are ready to offer Darwin Nunez in the deal to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United in the upcoming summer transfer window. Isak has been one of the best strikers in the Premier League since he signed for the Magpies.<\/p>\n

Liverpool want to sign Alexander Isak<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Reds are in need of a striker given that Darwin Nunez has not been performing in top form for the club. They have been keeping tabs on Isak for quite some time. However, the Swede will not come cheap, as the Magpies are set to demand at least \u20ac100 million to sell him. Therefore, the Reds want to sweeten the deal by offering Nunez plus cash.<\/p>\n

Alexander Isak has scored 17 goals in 23 matches so far in the Premier League 2024\/2025 season. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.81. Moreover, Isak\u2019s total G\/A (goals + assists) is 22 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 1.04 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.70. He is definitely happy at Newcastle United but might not reject a move to a top club like Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Will the Magpies accept the deal?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Playing for the Reds would give him consistent opportunities to win major trophies. He possesses the speed, technique, and goal-scoring prowess. At 25, he\u2019s already shown he can be one of the best in the Premier League, with a knack for scoring crucial goals.<\/p>\n

His physicality, movement, and finishing make him an attractive prospect for any top club, including Liverpool. The Reds see Isak as a perfect fit to stretch defenses. With Liverpool looking to refresh their attacking options, Isak\u2019s all-rounded game makes him a prime target for the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Reds value Nunez at \u00a360 million. However, I don\u2019t think Newcastle United will be ready to accept a part-exchange deal if they go on to sell their best player. They will like to take the full amount in cash. Nunez hasn\u2019t been performing at his best, so the Magpies will likely use the money to buy a top and in-form striker in the transfer window.
