Fabrizio Romano has stated in his exclusive report to Give Me Sport<\/a> that Manchester United are no longer interested in the lanky striker Victor Osimhen and are not scouting him anymore. The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko as they need strikers.<\/p>\n

Manchester United are no longer interested in Victor Osimhen<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ruben Amorim is not happy with the performances of Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund. Hence, they have been linked to a number of strikers in the previous transfer windows. One of them has been Osimhen. The Nigerian wanted to move out of Napoli<\/a> for Chelsea<\/a> but was not successful in the move but got involved in a loan deal with Galatasaray.<\/p>\n

Victor Osimhen has scored 14 goals in 19 matches so far in the S\u00fcper Lig 2024\/2025 season so far. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.86. Moreover, Osimhen\u2019s total G\/A (goals + assists) is 18 for this season. His goal involvement equates to 1.1 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.74.<\/p>\n

Looking into his passing aspect of the game, Osimhen passes the ball roughly 12.80 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 66.30%. He also plays 1.67 key passes each game. Overall, Osimhen\u2019s xA (expected assists) output is 0.24 per 90 minutes. Therefore, he has definitely been in very good form in the ongoing season.<\/p>\n

Is it a good decision?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

He has a \u00a366 million release clause in his contract with Napoli, and United are not ready to pay that much to sign him. He is a modern striker with explosive pace, physicality, and elite finishing. His aerial prowess, relentless pressing, and ability to hold up play make him a constant threat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manchester United\u2019s waning interest could be a misstep; his profile addresses their need for a proven No. 9, unlike the inconsistent Rasmus H\u00f8jlund or Joshua Zirkzee. Under Amorim\u2019s tactical vision, Osimhen\u2019s qualities could thrive, suggesting United might regret stepping back.<\/span><\/p>\n
