Aston Villa are preparing to host Cardiff City at home in the fifth round of the FA Cup this weekend. <\/span>The former side <\/span>faced a<\/span> 4-1 <\/span>defeat<\/span> against Crystal Palace in their last game and would like to forget it to focus on the upcoming fixtures.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Villans need to bounce back stronger to <\/span>head into<\/span> the next round <\/span>in<\/span> the cup. Moreover, this game will also <\/span>somewhere<\/span> set the template for their Champions League <\/span>round of 16<\/span> fixture with Club Brugge <\/span>the<\/span> next week.<\/span><\/p>\n

Emi Martinez<\/a> was forced <\/span>to be off at <\/span>half-time and if he fails to regain full fitness, Robin Olsen <\/span>is<\/span> the choice between the sticks. <\/span>No<\/span> change at the right-back position <\/span>as Andres Garcia is<\/span> retained to play there.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Ezri Konsa continues at the heart of the defence, Tyrone Mings could walk into the XI at the expense of Axel Disasi. Even Ian Maatsen <\/span>is likely to<\/span> return to take the left-back position, sending Lamare Bogarde back to the bench.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both Marcus Rashford<\/a> and Marco Asensio should be named in the starting XI. <\/span>They have done well in recent games and will have <\/span>the services of<\/span> Morgan Rogers alongside them.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the striker role, Donyell Malen could get the nod ahead of Ollie Watkins for this fixture\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
