Chelsea are planning to sign a striker in the<\/span>\u00a0summer\u00a0<\/span>as they look<\/span>\u00a0to bolster their unit for next season. According to\u00a0<\/span>Sport Witness<\/span><\/a>, the Premier League club are eyeing a summer move for FC Porto striker Evanilson as they believe in the player\u2019s abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Evanilson is a complete\u00a0<\/span>striker<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

After an initial spell at Fluminense, Evanilson<\/a> for FC Porto in 2020 on a long-term contract. In a short span, he managed to impress everyone with his displays on the field. His consistent performances\u00a0<\/span>over the years<\/span>\u00a0have made him an integral part of the team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Evanilson has been in terrific form this term. He has netted 24 goals and provided six assists in 41 games this season. He averaging 2.5 shots,<\/span>\u00a01\u00a0<\/span>key pass, and 0.8 dribbles per game (stats via\u00a0<\/span>whoscored<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Brazilian striker is excellent at finishing\u00a0<\/span>as well as<\/span>\u00a0creating threats in the final third. He has\u00a0<\/span>got<\/span>\u00a0a great hold of the ball and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>can dribble and provide goal-scoring passes. It won\u2019t be unfair to say that he\u00a0<\/span>is destined<\/span>\u00a0to play for a major European club.<\/span><\/p>\n

Will Chelsea break the bank?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Chelsea brought in Nicolas Jackson<\/a> with great expectations\u00a0<\/span>but<\/span>\u00a0the player has miserably failed to meet those. Though he has got a good number this season, he is also the one who has missed the most big chances in Europe in the 2023-24 campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

The recent performances of the Senegalese have raised doubts over his qualify within the club. Hence, the Blues are open to signing a new striker in the summer\u00a0<\/span>as they want<\/span>\u00a0to secure more goals. The pursuit of Evanilson is\u00a0<\/span>exactly<\/span>\u00a0in that direction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old has been in red-hot form and can be a good addition. His link-up play is also excellent\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0there\u2019s no doubt over\u00a0<\/span>his<\/span>\u00a0finishing skills. However, Portu has reportedly rated the hot property at \u20ac100 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see if the Blues will risk investing high in the youngster\u00a0<\/span>or not<\/span>. Apart from them, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United<\/a> are also keeping tabs on the player.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
