Barcelona faced off against Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park earlier tonight as they looked to defend their 4-0 lead from the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. The Catalan club made a sloppy start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the 11th minute when Serhou Guirassy scored from the penalty spot. Hansi Flick\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Guirassy scored again for the home side in the 49th minute before Barca got a goal back due to an unfortunate own goal from Ramy Bensebaini just five minutes later. Guirassy completed his hattrick in the 76th minute as Barcelona crashed to a 3-1 defeat on the road. However, the Catalan club won the tie 5-3 on aggregate.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Barcelona<\/a> player performed during the clash against Borussia Dortmund.<\/p>\n

GK: Wojciech Szczesny \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Szczesny kept the scoreline respectable by making a lot of solid saves at the back.<\/p>\n

RB: Jules Kounde \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when needed but failed to keep things solid inside his half.<\/p>\n

CB: Ronald Araujo \u2013 5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Araujo was far from convincing on the defensive third of the pitch. However, he was a strong presence in the air.<\/p>\n

CB: Pau Cubarsi \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending and made one decent chance going forward.<\/p>\n

Martin caught the eye at times on both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

CM: Frenkie de Jong \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He earned the ball back twice and completed one good dribble from midfield.<\/p>\n

CM: Gavi \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gavi struggled to impress during his time on the field and was substituted in the 58th minute.<\/p>\n

RW: Lamine Yamal \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made some promising runs with the ball but there was no goal for him tonight.<\/p>\n

CAM: Fermin Lopez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lopez managed to catch the eye on occasions but was replaced after the hour mark.<\/p>\n

LW: Raphinha \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to get into the flow of the game.<\/p>\n

ST: Robert Lewandowski \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lewandowski made one good chance up top but failed to register a goal.<\/p>\n

CM: Pedri \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pedri added some energy to Flick\u2019s midfield.<\/p>\n

He failed to keep things solid at the back.<\/p>\n

His impact on the game was minimal.<\/p>\n
