Real Madrid welcomed Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to overturn a 3-0 first-leg deficit in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie. Los Blancos made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.<\/p>\n

Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead in the 65th minute. However, Vinicius Jr. equalised for the home side just a couple of minutes later. Gabriel Martinelli ended up scoring the winning goal in injury time as Real Madrid crashed to a lackluster 2-1 loss at the Bernabeu.<\/p>\n

Carlo Ancelotti\u2019s men got knocked out of the Champions League after losing the tie 5-1 on aggregate.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Real Madrid<\/a> player performed during the match against the Gunners.<\/p>\n

GK: Thibaut Courtois \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Courtois made a few important saves at the back but won\u2019t be happy about conceding twice in the second half.<\/p>\n

RB: Lucas Vazquez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared the danger when required and made one good chance from the right flank.<\/p>\n

CB: Raul Asencio \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Asencio failed to impress with his performance on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

CB: Antonio Rudiger \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when needed and was strong in the air.<\/p>\n

LB: David Alaba \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alaba distributed the ball accurately and was substituted at the hour mark.<\/p>\n

CM: Federico Valverde \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield with conviction and won his fair share of aerial duels.<\/p>\n

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tchouameni got stuck in with a few solid tackles but offered very little in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Jude Bellingham \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to get into the flow of the game and never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

RW: Rodrygo \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rodrygo caught the eye at times but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

ST: Kylian Mbappe \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mbappe made two decent runs with the ball but failed to register a goal tonight.<\/p>\n

LW: Vinicius Jr. \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Brazilian talent was a constant menace in the final third and scored the equaliser for Real Madrid in the 67th minute.<\/p>\n

Substitutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

CM: Dani Ceballos \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made two decent chances going forward.<\/p>\n

LB: Fran Garcia \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Garcia struggled to influence the game.<\/p>\n

ST: Endrick \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

His impact on the game was minimal.<\/p>\n

CM: Luka Modric \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He added some creativity to Ancelotti\u2019s midfield.<\/p>\n
