In a recent interview with Geordie Boot Boys<\/a>, journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Newcastle United have set their sights on Brentford<\/a> winger Bryan Mbeumo. Bailey said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI do think Newcastle United will be targeting Bryan Mbeumo.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Newcastle United could be leading the chase for him at the moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey like him and he could be available for a good price \u2013 possibly under \u00a360million. He\u2019s a good player who fits in with Eddie Howe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are also players in Europe on their radar, such as Johan Bakayoko at PSV and Maghnes Akliouche at Monaco<\/a>. Newcastle have already done a lot of work on these players.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mbeumo\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League This Season<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mbeumo is having a decent campaign at the English club as he has been responsible for scoring a lot of important goals for them in the Premier League. The 25-year-old has banged in 18 goals and earned seven assists in 37 matches for the Bees this season across multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The Cameroonian talent has been a reliable performer in the final third based on his average of 2.2 shots, 1.9 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He has even distributed the ball relatively well, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 75% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored<\/a>).<\/p>\n

What Will Mbeumo Add To Newcastle United Boss Eddie Howe\u2019s Side?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mbeumo has got the pace to get in behind the opposition backline and can complete a few dangerous dribbles in the final third. He can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create a few inviting chances in and around the opponent\u2019s penalty area.<\/p>\n

The Cameroonian wing wizard can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the right flank. He mainly operates as a right-sided wide player but can also play as a striker down the middle if required.<\/p>\n

Mbeumo would add more firepower to Newcastle United<\/a> boss Eddie Howe\u2019s attack. He has what it takes to fight for regular first-team football at St. James\u2019 Park next season.<\/p>\n

At 25, Mbeumo\u2019s best years are ahead of him which makes him a worthy target for the Magpies to consider in this summer transfer window.
