If a recent report from Rangers Review<\/a> is believed to be true, versatile Dundee youngster Josh Mulligan is expected to join the Gers once his contract at Dens Park expires at the end of the current campaign. They have already tied Lyall Cameron down from the Dee on a pre-contract agreement in January, and the young Scotsman could now unite with his teammate and compatriot at Ibrox from next season onwards.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old former Scotland youth international progressed through Dundee\u2019s youth ranks before breaking into their first-team squad against St Mirren in the final game of the 2018\u201319 season. He was then loaned out to Cove Rangers and Peterhead, and the minutes in the lower leagues helped him cement a regular role in the Dark Blues midfield since February 2022.<\/p>\n

Dundee eventually got relegated from the Premiership by the end of the 2021-22 season, but scripted an immediate top-flight return with Mulligan making 42 appearances across competitions. While he featured sporadically last term, Tony Docherty has so far deployed him on the right of their three-man midfield week in and week out. The young academy ace could also slot in as a central midfielder or right fullback, and the manager has now fuelled speculations by reacting<\/a> to the rumours.<\/p>\n

Interim boss Barry Ferguson\u2019s future remains up in the air; also, Kevin Thelwell will join as their sporting director<\/a>\u00a0when his\u00a0Everton contract expires in the summer. The takeover talks are still in progress, and their finances and transfer budget depend on how much cash the new owners will inject.<\/p>\n
