Arsenal welcomed Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to earn all three points at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a good start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.<\/p>\n

Declan Rice opened the goal-scoring for the North London club with a great strike in the 55th minute. Mikel Arteta\u2019s men defended their lead well and secured a narrow 1-0 win at the Emirates.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Arsenal<\/a> player fared during the match against the Magpies.<\/p>\n

GK: David Raya \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Raya made a handful of top saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet at home.<\/p>\n

RB: Ben White \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when he could and was tidy with his passing.<\/p>\n

CB: William Saliba \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saliba kept things solid inside his half and was replaced at half-time.<\/p>\n

CB: Jakub Kiwior \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and did enough to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.<\/p>\n

CM: Martin Odegaard \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Odegaard was a constant menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

CM: Thomas Partey \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He got stuck in with a few solid tackles and was not shy of having a shot at goal.<\/p>\n

CM: Declan Rice \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rice proved his worth on both ends of the field and was responsible for scoring the only goal of the game in the 55th minute.<\/p>\n

RW: Bukayo Saka \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused some problems for the opposition defenders but was a bit untidy with his passing.<\/p>\n

ST: Leandro Trossard \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trossard made a few dangerous runs with the ball but has got nothing to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

LW: Gabriel Martinelli \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Martinelli managed to shine at times but was mostly a quiet presence on the left flank.<\/p>\n

Substitutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

CB: Riccardo Calafiori \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was solid at the back after coming off the bench at half-time.<\/p>\n

ST: Kai Havertz \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

His impact on the game was minimal.<\/p>\n
