According to Italian journalist\u00a0<\/span>Mirko Di Natale<\/span><\/a>, Liverpool are interested in signing Juventus defender Dean Huijsen in the summer window. The Premier League club have even made an enquiry over the possible transfer of the youngster.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dean Huijsen isn\u2019t getting enough game-time at <\/span>Juventus<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dean Huijsen<\/a> came through the ranks of Juventus academy but wasn\u2019t getting any game-time at the senior level. Hence, he was loaned out to Roma in January 2024 till the end of the season. At Roma, he did game time and showed glimpses of his <\/span>huge<\/span> potential.<\/span><\/p>\n

Huijsen featured in 26 games, netting two goals and as many assists this season. He averaged 0.7 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, and 1.9 clearances per game (stats via <\/span>whoscored<\/span><\/a>). However, he will return to the Italian club before the next season <\/span>kicks off<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dutchman is an intelligent defender who reads the threats well. He doesn\u2019t shy away from putting his body whenever needed. He is fast, good at building passes and remains a threat in set pieces. However, he needs to add muscle to cope with muscular attackers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Is Dean Huijsen a star in the making?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Liverpool\u2019s interest in Dean Huijsen is understandable <\/span>as<\/span> they lost Joel Matip<\/a> as a free agent. <\/span>The club <\/span>need to<\/span> bring in a fresh name to fill the void <\/span>space<\/span>.<\/span> Though the former isn\u2019t an ideal replacement for the latter, he could be a long-term investment.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Virgil van Dijk<\/a> being on the wrong side of 30<\/span>, the Reds need to nourish a youngster<\/span>.<\/span> In that aspect,<\/span> Huijsen could be a good pick <\/span>as<\/span> he has immense potential.<\/span> He will continue to improve his game with proper guidance and experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 19-year-old is reportedly willing to <\/span>make a<\/span> switch away from Juventus to take his career to new heights. Joining Liverpool should be a lucrative move as he <\/span>will be able to<\/span> learn and fight for all the prestigious trophies.
