In a recent interview with Football Insider<\/a>, former Premier League scout Mick Brown mentioned that Liverpool could move in for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon. Brown said,<\/p>\n

\u201cAnthony Gordon is still on their radar.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been one of the top names for Liverpool for a while.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a Liverpool lad, was at Everton before, and they know him very well.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been talking about Wirtz as well, and it looks like that deal is going to happen and they\u2019re getting closer to an agreement there.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut that isn\u2019t going to stop them having a look at Gordon.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve got a few players there, Diaz, Gakpo, Nunez, and more who could leave and those sales would open to door for Gordon to come in.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they keep those players, they won\u2019t need both Gordon and Wirtz.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if they don\u2019t, Gordon is a player they\u2019re considering to come in as a direct replacement for the current attacking options, who Slot hasn\u2019t been convinced on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gordon enjoyed another impressive campaign at Newcastle recently as he put in a series of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The English talent registered nine goals and grabbed seven assists in 42 matches for the Magpies last season on all fronts.<\/p>\n

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Get Gordon On Board?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gordon has got the pace to cause a lot of problems for his marker out in the wide areas. He is a good dribbler with the ball and has got the eye to play a few decisive passes on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

The England international can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks. He is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also play as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if needed.<\/p>\n

We can expect Gordon to bring more pace and goals to Liverpool<\/a> head coach Arne Slot\u2019s frontline. He is more than capable of competing for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club next season.<\/p>\n
