In a recent interview with Football Insider<\/a>, journalist Pete O\u2019Rourke stated that Newcastle United are eyeing a move for West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus. O\u2019Rourke said,<\/p>\n

\u201cNewcastle can afford a deal for Kudus.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs it stands, Bryan Mbeumo is their top target for that right-sided forward position.<\/p>\n

\u201cKudus is on their list and has admirers within the Newcastle hierarchy, and is somebody they feel could come in and strengthen their attacking options.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe obviously has that release clause of around \u00a375million, but I don\u2019t think many Premier League clubs will be willing to pay that.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to West Ham\u2019s situation, his suitors feel they can get him for a cheaper fee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ll definitely be willing to listen to offers for the Ghana international.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Newcastle were to miss out on Mbeumo to Man United or somebody else, it would push Kudus further up their list of targets for the right-winger role.<\/p>\n

\u201cKudus still feels he has a lot to offer on the European scene, he\u2019s still only 24.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Newcastle come calling with Champions League football, it\u2019s something he would be open to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kudus\u2019 Inconsistent Form In English Football Last Season<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Kudus had an inconsistent campaign at the East London club but managed to put in a string of influential displays for them in the Premier League. The 24-year-old registered five goals and grabbed four assists in 35 matches for the Hammers last season across all fronts.<\/p>\n

His current contract at the London Stadium will run out in the summer of 2028 which could make it difficult for Newcastle to land him on the cheap this off-season.<\/p>\n

What Will Kudus Add To Newcastle United Boss Eddie Howe\u2019s Side?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Kudus is an excellent dribbler with the ball and can use his pace to cause a lot of trouble for his marker out on the flanks. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can create a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Ghanaian sensation mainly operates as a right-sided wide player but can also fill in as a left-winger or as a centre-forward if told to do so. He is quite familiar with the Premier League<\/a> and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at the Tyneside club.<\/p>\n

Kudus would no doubt add more firepower to Newcastle<\/a> boss Eddie Howe\u2019s attack. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at St. James\u2019 Park in the coming seasons.<\/p>\n
