In a recent report on talkSPORT<\/a>, journalist Ben Jacobs stated that Manchester United have identified Al-Hilal forward Aleksandar Mitrovic as a target. It has been stated that the Red Devils are facing competition from West Ham United<\/a> and Everton<\/a> in the race to land the Serbian striker this summer.<\/p>\n

Mitrovic\u2019s Impressive Form In Saudi Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mitrovic had a productive campaign in Saudi Arabia after he put in a lot of impressive displays as the focal point of Al-Hilal\u2019s attack. The Serbian sensation banged in 28 goals and picked up seven assists in 36 appearances for his current employers last season on all fronts.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 4.44 shots per 90 minutes in the Saudi Professional League. He has also kept 48.4% of his attempts on target (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Saudi club will expire next summer. Hence, Man United could potentially bring Mitrovic back to England on a cut-price deal this off-season.<\/p>\n

Should Man United Boss Ruben Amorim Snap Mitrovic Up?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mitrovic is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He is an experienced forward, who has banged in goals for fun in Saudi Arabia. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Standing at 1.89m, the Serbian striker can use his strong frame to win his fair share of aerial duels. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play in the final third.<\/p>\n

Mitrovic would add more goals to Man United<\/a> head coach Ruben Amorim\u2019s attack. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford next season.<\/p>\n

At 30, Mitrovic might still have a few good years left in him to play at a high level. Furthermore, he is quite familiar with the Premier League and won\u2019t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.
