According to <\/span>The Athletic,\u00a0<\/span><\/a>Manchester United are discussing signing Brentford\u2019s Ivan Toney in the summer to bolster the offensive line. Once the management is convinced, the club will make an official move to get his signature.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ivan Toney is a quality striker<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ivan Toney<\/a>\u2018s career has had its <\/span>own<\/span> ups and downs so far. He joined Brentford in the summer of 2020 from Peterborough United. While he started strong and emerged as an elite name on the team sheet, his role has seen a diminishing curve over the past season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toney scored his last goal at the club level in mid-February. He featured in 17 games last season, netting four goals and providing two assists. He averaged 2.6 shots, 0.7 key passes, and 0.5 dribbles per game (stats via <\/span>whoscored<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

The English forward is a tough striker <\/span>to handle<\/span> due to his physical strength. He is extremely good in aerial duels and converting penalties. He often drops to receive the ball and initiate the attacks. The player provides good through balls and is accurate with long-range shots.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ivan Toney\u2019s market value has dipped<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Manchester United are finally taking big steps to solidify their unit for next season. They have already signed the likes of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee<\/a>. But the job isn\u2019t done yet as they are scripting more quality signings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Red Devils are considering making a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
