In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Mark Brus stated that Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs hoping to land Manchester United<\/a> forward Marcus Rashford. It is understood that Spurs would have to rival Newcastle United, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Inter Milan and other clubs from Saudi Arabia in the race to sign the England international this summer.<\/p>\n

Rashford\u2019s Impressive Loan Spell At Aston Villa<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Rashford had a good loan spell at Aston Villa<\/a> in the second half of last season as he produced a string of impressive displays in the Premier League. The 27-year-old participated in 17 matches for the Villans in the previous campaign, scoring four times and picking up six assists across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The English talent did well to average 3.65 shots per 90 minutes in Premier League football but only kept 27.8% of his attempts on target. He also needs to improve his ball distribution, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 71.3% in the English top flight (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at his parent club Man United will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, Spurs would have to make a big offer if they want to lure him to North London in this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Is Rashford A Good Option For Manchester United?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Rashford is proficient at finding some space for himself to get a few strikes in on target. He can create the odd chance for others around him on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

The English forward can be a streaky goal-scorer up top but needs to work on improving his passing accuracy in the opponent\u2019s half. He mainly operates as a centre-forward but can also function as a left-sided wide player or as a right-winger if required.<\/p>\n

We can expect Rashford to inject more firepower into Tottenham<\/a> head coach Thomas Frank\u2019s frontline. He has what it takes to serve as an ideal replacement for Heung-min Son, who is past his prime at the North London club.<\/p>\n
