Russia\u2019s chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky held a closed-door meeting with Ukrainian officials in Geneva after formal US-mediated talks ended, according to Russian state media today. <\/p>\n

Medinsky held the closed two-hour talks with the Ukrainian side at the InterContinental Hotel before departing Geneva, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing an unnamed source. Medinsky later confirmed to RIA that the additional meeting with the Ukrainians took place. <\/p>\n

The Ukrainian negotiation team confirmed to CNN that the meeting took place. <\/p>\n

US officials said that special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump\u2019s son-in-law Jared Kushner had left the hotel in Geneva before Medinsky came back for the additional meeting. <\/p>\n

Formal US-mediated talks between the two sides ended earlier today after just two hours. Ukrainian and Russian negotiators described them as difficult. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Les Wexner told lawmakers he was \u201cconned\u201d by Jeffrey Epstein and categorically denied any knowledge of his sex trafficking crimes. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a con man. And while I was conned, I have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide,\u201d Wexner said in a written statement provided to lawmakers during his deposition in Ohio today. <\/p>\n

He said he regrets ever having met Epstein. <\/p>\n

Wexner said he only once stopped by Epstein\u2019s Caribbean island with his wife and children while in the area and never flew on his plane. <\/p>\n

Wexner, the 88-year former owner of Victoria\u2019s Secret, said he was introduced to Epstein in the 1980s. Wexner said he devoted all of his time to building his retail conglomerate, The Limited, and signed over power of attorney to Epstein. <\/p>\n

\u201cOver the course of many years, he carefully used his acquaintance with important individuals to curate an aura of legitimacy that he then used to expand his network of acquaintances, and apparent credibility, even farther,\u201d Wexner wrote. <\/p>\n

When Florida police began investigating Epstein\u2019s interactions with young girls in the mid-2000s, Wexner said it was \u201cshocking.\u201d Wexner\u2019s wife then took over managing their finances and discovered Epstein had stolen hundreds of millions of dollars. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
