President Donald Trump<\/a> and Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet this week in a summit that was delayed because of the conflict in Iran<\/a>, according to the Council on Foreign Relations.<\/p>\n

Trump will visit Beijing on May 14\u201315, marking the first state visit to China from a U.S. president since 2017, when Trump was first in office.<\/p>\n

Geopolitical tensions, particularly trade, Taiwan, the Iran war, and artificial intelligence (AI) loom over the upcoming meeting, according to the Council on Foreign Relations.<\/a><\/p>\n

The war in Iran will also loom over the meeting \u2014 Iran is one of China\u2019s closest partners in the Middle East, reported the New York Times.<\/p>\n

Trump will meet with Xi in Beijing on May 14-15.<\/p>\n
