The U.K. military agency said there was significant interference being seen with the automatic identification systems used to track vessels.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lloyd&#8217;s List Intelligence put the number of transits last week at just 26, but it also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lloydslist.com\/LL1157237\/Irans-shadow-fleet-exercising-caution-but-has-not-completely-abandoned-market\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a> that a cluster of 18 &#8220;shadow fleet&#8221; tankers \u2013 part of Iran&#8217;s network of oil and other energy transport ships used to circumvent U.S. sanctions. Lloyds said the vessels were stopped off the coasts of\u00a0 Oman, and Pakistan much further east, outside the U.S. Navy&#8217;s blockade line.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Instead of heading into the Gulf of Oman, which leads to the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf beyond, they appeared to be considering options to avoid U.S. interdiction, Lloyds said.<\/p>\n<p>Data from <a href=\"http:\/\/marinetraffic.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MarineTraffic.com<\/a> showed at least one tanker Friday off the coast of Duqm, Oman, which had previously transited the strait during the war.
