When you are crocheting dc’s in the round you begin each round with 3 ch that replaces the first dc on this next round. Finish each round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit a pleat. Making pleats on the waistline, or at an empire cut cardigan creates very elegant and feminine knitwear design.
This video first shows a pleat that opens up to the left and then a pleat that opens up to the right. This pleat is worked over 10 sts and we are slipping 5 sts onto cable needle to front of piece, K first st from cable needle tog with first sts from needle, 5 times in total.

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit a pocket on the inside of your work.
Knit the pocket separate and put the sts on a holder. Knit the front piece until position for the pocket.
Now knit the sts from center front edge to where the pocket starts, put the same number of sts as there are on the pocket on a st holder or waste yarn for pocket opening, knit the sts from the pocket and then remaining sts on row. Continue to work front piece as before on all sts. When finished put sts from holder on needle. Knit an edge and then bind off. Sew sides of pocket edge to front. Sew pocket lining to wrong side in such a way that the sts do not show on right side.

Make 3 yo, put hook through st and pull thread through (= 5 st on hook), *yo, pull through 2 sts*, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times (= 1 st on hook).

Overall concept was to show how easily a parent could create an indoor version of the kid-favorite outdoor game, using the colorful assets from “The Backyardigans” show.
