Monastic Projects – David Hoffmeister ACIM

Projects are a backdrop for channeling the purpose of the Holy Spirit. There are no specific problems, but distorted/fragmented perception is the problem. Only a single purpose, (forgiveness, the miracle), used and practiced, will unify perception. So the purpose of each project or task is forgiveness, to unify perception, to be done through so perfectly by the Holy Spirit that there is no doer and you are aware you are a being. Give everything, all your skills and abilities, to the Holy Spirit to use for the single unified purpose.

We don’t do projects as ritual, out of obligation, or just because someone told us to. That is to stay guilty and little. We do projects to joyfully be done through by Spirit. We use the body to expand and unify our perception. In this we exercise our choice of purpose; we choose our state of mind. The purpose that you bring to your projects is everything. A unified purpose lifts us up into the state of celestial glory.

See how empowering this is! Follow the Spirit and feel joy in the experience!

“My Self is ruler of the universe. It is impossible that anything should come to me unbidden by myself. Even in this world, it is I who rule my destiny. What happens is what I desire. What does not occur is what I do not want to happen.” (ACIM, W-253)

  • LIFE

    LIFE

    http://www.pixelhunters.com/

A Short Non-Commercial Movie by Pixelhunters

Life is a battle of choices and roads to be taken. We choose our own paths, we mark our own map. Once choices have been made, actions play out. Consequences are delivered. And in the end, we live with those consequences.
But, the real struggle is making the choice to change how we take the roads untaken. Are we tough enough to decide for ourselves when the time comes?

    Script:

    Life.

Given to us billions of years ago.

    Breathing, making choices, cultivating purpose.

we marvel with the reasons our core existence.

Predominance, obsession and what’s only left is its lethal outcome around.

    I was given life,

    what have I done ?

Memories occurred to me like a flood,

ravishing into the deepest turmoil of my thoughts.

I used to see myself as an aggressive bullet wandering –

    tearing down races, razing enemies.

The recollection of my belligerence. Will it change?

Now all my senses could perceive is emptiness.

couldn’t have I stopped at the right moment,

when few hearts were still beating?

Is there still something worth opening my eyes for?

Yet, here I am, facing again that demon inside me.

    another battle to win

The monster in me respires with prudence. My inner self astounded.

and then, for a heart beat

I know what to do with it.

  • How to knit a thumb on a mitten

How to knit a thumb on a mitten

In this DROPS video show how you can knit a thumb for a mitten.

First we show how to first increase for the thumb gusset by making 1 yo each side of a marked stitch, on next round work yo’s in back loop to avoid holes.
On following round repeat inc and then work a couple of rounds in stockinette (or as indicated in the pattern).
When gusset is done put all inc sts on a cable needle or waste yarn, cast on a new stitch (or number of sts indicated in pattern) behind these sts and continue in the round.

When hand is done put back the thumb sts on a needle, pick up sts in the edge behind these and knit thumb in the round. At desired length K2 tog all the way round. Cut the thread and pull it through remaining sts, tighten and fasten.

  • How to knit entrelac on straight needles

How to knit entrelac on straight needles

In this DROPS video we show how to knit entrelac on straight needles. Entrelac is when you knit squares in multiple directions.

First you make a row of triangles, then you pick up sts along the sides, work half squares at each side and full squares in the middle.

If each square should be i.e 5 sts wide, then you cast on 5 sts for each triangle to start with. So for 3 triangles you cast on 15 sts.
