    Google Maps API Tutorial


    In this video, we will cover step by step how to retrieve and configure the Google Maps API Keys for Realtyna’s WordPress plugin, WPL.

    Step 1: Get Started with Google Maps Platform, select all API options, create a project and set up billing.
    Step 2: Copy & Paste first API Key (shown upon creating a project) to the Google API Key (Server Side) in your WPL Global Settings.
    Step 3: Create 2nd API and choose restrictions.
    Step 4: Choose “HTTP referrers”. Restrict Websites using these two forms: *.exampledomain.com/* AND *exampledomain.com/* (Remember to include stars). Last, choose “Restrict Key” and select “Javascript Map API” from the list. Save selections.
    Step 5: Find the 2nd API key with restrictions and copy and paste it to the Google API Key (Client Side) in the WPL Global Settings.

    With Supreme Columns Shortcodes it is possible to create any type of layout. You can choose between twelve columns or create your own layout by using a combination of the columns.

    Sometimes it can get frustrating trying to organize content via the WordPress text editor. With the Columns Shortcodes, you can break down your content into any number of 12 layouts giving variety and hierarchy to your post. Possibilities with Columns combinations are unlimited. You can play with Factorials 1-12, but here are simple examples.

    УРОК: WordPress. Версия 3.2. Проблема отображения визуального редактора.


    Решил обновить WordPress до версии 3.2 и столкнулся с неприятной проблемой – перестал отображаться визуальный редактор. Нашел в сети несколько способов решения этой проблемы, но для меня сработал только один. Хочу поделиться этими способами с Вами.

    Первый способ – добавить расширение JSON для PHP. Для этого написан специальный плагин для WP – Restore JSON. Вот ссылочка на него. Я скачал, установил и акетивировал плагин, но это почему то мне не помогло.

    Второй способ – деактивировать все плагины. После этого у некоторых пользователей все становится на свои места. Значит какой то из плагинов вызывает эту проблему. Подключая их по одному обратно можно его вычислить. Но мне это тоже не помогло.

    Третий способ – удаление на сервере папок wp-includes и wp-admin и последующая ручная замена этих папок из установочного пакета. В некоторых случаях люди пишут, что помогает удаление и замена только папочки wp-includes/js. Но мне этот вариант тоже не подошел.

    Четвертый способ, который в конце концов и решил мою проблему – это установка плагина CKEditor. Это довольно красивый альтернативный визуальный редактор. После установки и активации данного плагина проблема исчезла.

    В конце хотел бы еще сказать – новая версия WordPress работал только на серверах, оснащенных PHP 5.2.4+ и MySQL 5. Для проверки совместимости Вашего блога с техническими требованиями создан плагин Health Check.
