Miguel – Spina Bifida Stem Cell Patient

Miguel traveled to China to receive adult stem cell transplants for the treatment of Spina Bifida. This condition begins with a serious malformation of the spinal column during development in the womb.

Miguel received transplants of donated adult stem cells to help improve his development. This treatment is not a cure for Spina Bifida. Doctors hope that it can increase lower body sensation and muscle control as well as increase strength and mobility.

Tangerine Dream complete their Quantum Gate album with the Quantum Key EP as a new double CD release – http://found.ee/QuantumGateKey

The Quantum Key EP preceded Quantum Gate and both delivered an updated, contemporary development of their trademark sound: sequencer-driven electronica covering a wide range of moods and atmospheres from ambient soundscapes to energetic, upbeat moments.

The Quantum Years material began as a concept and series of musical sketches by Froese before he passed away in 2015. Remaining band members Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss and Hoshiko Yamane worked together to realize Edgar’s visions and expectations of a conceptual body of work that attempts to translate quantum physics and philosophy into music.

Tangerine Dream have been a fundamental influence on electronic and progressive music since their formation in West Berlin, 1967. Inspiring genres, musicians and other art forms, from The Future Sound of London to Porcupine Tree, the widely popular TV show Stranger Things (for which their music also featured in) to seminal video game Grand Theft Auto V (for which they helped to write the soundtrack).

    Video Transcript

Seven Advantages of HTML5 Mobile Apps

    – Device-Aware Responsive Web Design
    – Mobile-Friendly Front-End Development
    – W3C Standards Compliant HTML5/CSS3
    – PHP/MySQL | jQuery/Javascript | SEO/SMM

More Economical to Develop & Deploy

Native OS apps run on one smartphone platform only. One HTML5 Mobile Web app can run on all smartphone platforms with native wrappers for each.

Open Web Technology vs. Proprietary SDKs

Mobile Web apps can be built and maintained using open web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and Node.js.

No Vendor Lock-In of App Creators or Customers

Native OS apps lock purveyors and users into a single mobile phone manufacturer. Mobile Web apps do not.

Greater Visibility & Search Marketing Potential

Native OS apps can get lost in mix with 700,000+ others at online app stores. Mobile Web apps can be search optimized and self-promoting.

    Immediate Accessibility For Lower Abandonment

Native OS apps must be downloaded and activated for use which can be one more obstacle to a sale. Mobile Web apps are accessible instantly.

Instant Updates & No Release Headaches

Updating a native OS app with 10,000 users requires 10,000 downloads. Mobile Web apps updates are instantly available at the server.

Mobile Web Apps Have Perpetual Persistence

Over 50% of downloaded apps are unistalled within 1 month and 95% deleted within 6. Mobile Web apps cannot be uninstalled or deleted by users.

Primavera is in the air and Gucci’s new Spring 2012 collection has premièred during London Fashion week as part of the latest edition of Gucci’s award winning iPad App, Gucci Style. Remi Paringaux of MERI Media returned to Loco to co-create the look for the shoppable magazine features, “How to Wear it”, “Spring Awakening”, and “Self Reflection”.

The models for the men’s and women’s collections were shot in a room full of mirrors, so Loco provided VFX to clean up the footage and develop a hyper-real environment. Baselight Colourist, Tom Balkwill was very excited to develop a strong, brave, and unique look to these shots, keeping the skin tones glowing within a steely blue ambiance for Frida’s collections. Tom and Remi were delighted to see how far the Arri Alexa footage could be pushed, and the results were hugely satisfying. Steve Wright, a friend of Loco’s, provided the effortlessly cool soundtrack for “Spring Awakening”, the women’s collection.

Loco and Dirty Looks transformed the green screen footage from Gucci’s Florentine studio shoot on the Arri Alexa into the bright, blue-sky settings and warm, sun-kissed models to develop a Mediterranean resort look for Frida’s selections. With such a hot collection, we can’t wait to work with the team again on the summer edition.

  • Them&Us Trailer

    Them&Us Trailer

Them & Us a new film from Daniel Hopkins.
This formed part of exhibition called Battle Lines at Airspace Gallery in Stoke On Trent from 29th May to the 27th June 2015

The film has been developed since the exhibition to be shown at Film Festivals and other spaces.

‘Them & Us’ is about the tension and structure of a forgotten landscape just outside the town of Stafford called Doxey Marshes. This landscape is a showcase for the natural environments constant development and change. The marshland has a major train track across it as well as the M6 Motorway.
The sun comes up and the rain pours down the landscape changes continually while the train track and motorway continue with no change. The film and corresponding sound pieces showcase a battle to be seen and heard from both elements.
