So I used a different scenario that related to TV and let the TV man to travel across, like a labyrinth with confusion. And finally it comes to a notebook that symbolized new media, and he seems to find a new horizon of the future.

  • Patrick K.-H. / Burkhard Stangl “La main: l’heure de la pieuvre” series

Patrick K.-H. / Burkhard Stangl “La main: l’heure de la pieuvre” series

Drawing sketches in sketchbooks, stop-motion analog/digital animation, 2010-2011.

This piece was started during the residency in Brut, Wien, Austria, in December, 2010. http://www.brut-wien.at/start.php?navid=detail&id=503 Originally, it appeared in the form of 15-screens / 24-audio-channels installation, also got this animation form in several months of reworking. The development of digital processing technologies has opened up many new artistic possibilities for both, media artist Patrick K.-H. and musician Burkhard Stangl, while at the same time shattering the authorship of works. In their exchange project, artists ask about the meaning of the age-old cultural technique of writing and new possibilities of transforming knowledge. Sketches in sketchbooks of both artists became content for animation, and for soundtrack it is used the oldest recording which was made in Austria ever – Brahms plays Piano, 1889.

  • Five Ways In-Trailer

    Five Ways In-Trailer

‘Five Ways In’ tells the story of five people and their journeys through the Freiburg International Contact Improvisation Festival of 2012. Each person had a seed or intention for the week that captured different positions and experiences of the festival. The documentary team of Mike, Sonja and Alyssa followed and filmed the development of their seeds through the week, capturing moments when they were tested and satisfied. Filming and editing was informed by principles of contact improvisation and the theme and format of the film was built in collaboration with the contact community, most particularly at ECITE 2012 in Bern, Switzerland.

  • Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.4 conversion to Canon EOS

Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.4 conversion to Canon EOS

Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.4 conversion to Canon EOS

Folks this is a 24 minute video, so if you want see full detail on how this conversion is done, then go grab a drink 🙂 I’m pretty sure this is the most detailed-documented procedure on how to convert a Minolta MD lens to Canon EOS. It is of my opinion that the best Minolta SR mount 50mm primes were the MD Rokkor-X 50/1.2 and 50/1.4. By this time in Minolta’s manual SLR lens development they had figured out the best coatings, saved some weight and size, and engineered their best aperture diaphragm (hence MD for Minimum Diaphragm). This lens is Minolta’s second gen. MD lens. The last and 3rd generation were perhaps just a good optically, but they builds were of more plastic.

Please visit the following forum thread where you will find further discussion (Q&A) and sample photos taken with this lens on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II: http://www.motleypixel.com/forum/index.php/topic,608.0.html
