    WordPress is great at managing your posts, pages, categories and tags, but it falls short in adding data to images and attachments.

    This video, accompanies a soon to be published Smashing Magazine article (link coming soon), and a WordPress plugin called Media Custom Fields.

    The plugin allows you to add any type of metadata to media elements (images, videos, audio, etc), that you can normally add to posts. You can download the plugin at:

    The video also contains a brief tutorial on using the plugin, and it showcases some great things you can do, like show image artist credits, and even show color blocks from the image’s main colors.
