Punjab Chief Minister has launched a free solar panel scheme aimed at providing relief to citizens from high electricity bills. Maryam Nawaz has instructed to expedite the installation process, with installations set to begin by the end of March for consumers using up to 200 units per month. Over 861,000 applicants have registered for the scheme, and a dedicated help line has been set up for assistance. The initiative will help reduce carbon emissions by 57,000 tons with the installation of 100,000 solar systems.
