Labour will be ignoring the issue of slavery if it prevents a proposal to prohibit ministers from purchasing solar panels believed to have been produced with forced labor, MPs cautioned last night.
Members of the House of Lords had aimed to prevent government funds from being utilized to acquire products from a company that has ‘reliable evidence’ of modern slavery within its supply chain.
