Easy DIY Solar Installation to Save Money – NEP BDM-800 Microinverter & BDG-256 Gateway

In this video I will show you how I installed a 3000W solar power system for less than $1 per watt. I used NEP BDM-800 microinverters which meet the new requirements of UL 1741 SB and the BDG-256 gateway that allows you to monitor your panels online.

After getting various quotes for solar, I decided that I could save a ton of money by installing solar myself. My total cost was less than ½ the lowest bidder, and less than ¼ the cost of the highest bidder.

First – Look for panels that are the right power and size for your application. Consider buying an entire pallet as this can actually be cheaper sometimes than buying just the number you need. Then just sell any extras on Facebook Marketplace when you are done.
