In this video, Justin practices radical responsibility in making sure we have reliable power through our EG4 6000 XP inverters. Signature Solar sent us a new inverter after the last one had an issue with a burnt wire. There’s never a dull day when it comes to self sustainability, living off the grid!
Now Justin has to trim up the front door and sliding glass door of our off grid house to prepare for the Hardie plank siding.
Next it’s time to put siding up. We are using pre primed Hardie Plank siding. It’s heavy AND fragile, so Lil helps get the siding in place. She is getting the hang of the nail gun, and Justin continues to protect his lungs with Base Camp masks while cutting siding pieces.
It is tricky work going around the windows and doors, but Justin’s math is rarely wrong!
After the siding is hung, it’s on to installing the door handle. We found a beautiful custom handle on Amazon (link below) but unfortunately it did not fit the door. Justin’s razor blade gets to work making it fit, and it’s a beautiful finishing touch!
