As per the Govt. of India, if you were using a solar panel in a govt. project, it should be ALMM Approved.
ALMM stands for Approved List of Models & Manufacturers. It consists of 2 lists –
1. Approved Solar Panels & Manufacturers
2. Approved Solar Cells & Manufacturers
Companies apply for this certificate and a team from MNRE visits the plant. After inspecting the production and models, they provide an ALMM certificate to the brand.
In conclusion, ALMM solar panels are approved by MNRE.
So, when you think of buying a solar panel, consider ALMM-Approved solar panels.
