Anker Solar 400 watt portable solar panels versus generic flexible solar panels comparison

Anker Solar 400 watt portable solar panels versus generic flexible solar panels comparison

Testing the Anker 400 watt portable solar panels against generic 100-110 watt solar panels in series arrays of 400 watts. The Anker solar panels outperformed the generic by almost 2 times the watts of input. 111 degrees out causing the solar arrays to droop a little.

The output from portable compared to rigid aluminum frames is 50-80 percent less such as the Grace 100 watt solar panels. Being portable looses efficiency but it is portable. Not sure I will be able to recharge my 24V battery bank.

I was only able to get 18-20 amps max charging battery bank. Max 520 watts out of 800 watts Anker portable solar panels from the 2-400 watts. Did not matter whether Anker solar panels were in series or parallel, almost same output. Max 790 watts with another 840 watts of generic solar added in parallel. So adding the extra generic solar panels I was only able to get another 270 watts out of 840 watts of flexible solar panels. Way lower than I expected for flexible efficiency.

Will have to try to find different flexible solar panels with better efficiency. The efficiency is about 50 percent of rigid aluminum framed solar panels.
