Aldi is expanding its solar power packages across Australia’s East Coast after a successful Victorian trial, offering solar panels, batteries and inverters from around $7,000 with installation included. The discount retailer claims customers can save between $1,000 to $2,700 annually on electricity bills, with larger batteries allowing energy storage for use during peak times. The federal government’s solar rebate scheme provides a 30% discount on battery installation costs, with the service expanding to South Australia and Western Australia from next year.
