Solar Panel ‘Cleaning’ Clips – Do they really work and remove water and dirt?

I have never cleaned my solar panels since they got installed 3 years ago. Today, I did some spring cleaning on the roof and removed leaf under the panel. I remembered that I bought these solar panel ‘cleaning’ clips a while back, so I installed them. They are supposed to drain the water which collects at the bottom of the panel between glass and frame, and also take the dirt away. I’m very sceptic and don’t think they actually work or even make a difference. When I installed the first one, I got a big surprise!
