Woodworkers going for green energy

Woodworkers going for green energy

Have you ever tried portable power?
.
More and more during the restoration of sash windows and old historic properties I’ve been finding that power to the job is sometimes more difficult than id like. With power sometimes off for work by electricians at inconvenient times, or batteries being on charge away from where Im working.
.
In the workshop i have power, but with the future plans of moving the workshop, I’ve thinking it could be good to try something more independent and off grid.
.
Back during the early summer of 2025 I decided to invest back into brainfizzuk and started looking at portable solar generators, these could power both the site requirements, and also most of the workshop as well.
.
Looking around at several brands and manufacturers out there i settled on the @ankerofficialuk SolisF2000 with an additional battery.
.
The UK may not be known for its abundance of sunshine, but with the winter solstice only 3 days away, i can still get plenty of sunshine for the portable solar panels to charge the 4Kwh of battery storage that i use to charge the many hikoki36V batteries, and still power the SpeedHeater for paint-stripping window sashes.
.
It may not be a huge off grid system, but it means independence, and flexibility in working, which, when working multiple projects around multiple trades and then throw in the weather and overnight stays….. flexibility becomes a real commodity!
.
Because if this, as with all tools, All parts of this new found independence and self reliance has been generously coated with a forensic marking system called @selectadnauk this is a synthetic DNA marking system, that will allow both identification and return AND secure convictions if it gets stolen. Since the unique marker is coded to brainfizzuk and listed on a police accessible database linking it directly to me. By strategically marking items is places where it would be impossible to completely remove the UV marking thereby increase the chance of recovery and reducing the temptation to bother.
So a huge thankyou to @stolen_tools_uk_ for putting on the events where is was able to source this particular kit,
