🚐 Season 6, Episode 5 – Truck Camper Solar Upgrade Preview | BougeRV Arch Pro 200W Panel
In this episode, we dive into the next upgrades planned for our truck camper build, starting with comfort and power.
We want to upgrade to a real 10-inch mattress, but limited space means our current fridge is too tall — forcing us to rethink the layout. That led us straight into another major upgrade that’s been on our list for a while: solar.
BougeRV, a long-time sponsor of our channel, sent us their Arch Pro 16 BB 200-watt solar panel, and while we’re not installing it on the roof just yet, we wanted to show it working in real-world conditions.
So in this episode, we:
• Measure the fridge and explain why it needs to be replaced
• Show the old, worn solar panels currently on our roof
• Introduce the BougeRV Arch Pro 200W panel
• Plug it directly into our power station to test real output
• Talk through why this panel makes sense for our truck camper build
This is the first step toward a full solar upgrade and a more comfortable, off-grid setup.
⸻
🔥 In this episode, you’ll see:
• Why our current fridge limits mattress size
• How layout choices affect comfort in a truck camper
• A close look at our old solar panels and why they’re being replaced
• BougeRV Arch Pro 16 BB 200W solar panel overview
• Real-world solar power test using a power station
• Why efficient solar matters for off-grid travel
⸻
☀️ Why this matters for truck campers
When you’re living or traveling off-grid, solar isn’t optional — it’s critical. As we upgrade comfort inside the camper, reliable and efficient solar becomes even more important. This panel is a big step toward dialing in this build for long-term travel.
