Australia’s demand for household batteries soared in the second half of 2025, with as many power storage devices installed in the period as in the previous five years.
The Clean Energy Council has reported 4.2 million Australian homes now have installed rooftop solar.
The council’s national spokesperson Chris O’Keefe says Australia’s uptake of household renewables is likely the best in the world and Australians should be proud of the milestone.
