Back in April 2025, I purchased four 12V 300Ah LiFePO4 batteries from Amazon for my solar power system. They came with what was advertised as a 5-year warranty, and everything worked great… until about a month ago.
One of the batteries started reaching full charge before the others, preventing the rest of the system from reaching 100%. Then it began disconnecting and reconnecting repeatedly — classic signs of a possible internal BMS issue.
I contacted Yeagulch for warranty support but never received a response. After checking their website, I discovered something concerning — their warranty only applies to batteries purchased directly from their website, not through Amazon.
With no support, I opened the battery to investigate… and what I found confirmed my suspicions: the cells were not properly balanced.
In this video, I show:
• What happens when a LiFePO4 battery reaches full charge too early
• Signs of internal BMS failure
• What unbalanced cells look like
• Why this can cripple a 48V solar system
• The warranty loophole you need to know about
