For a 12-volt, 100 Ah battery, which stores 1200 watt-hours of energy, a single 200-watt to 300-watt solar panel is often recommended to fully charge it within one to two days under typical sunlight conditions (around 5 peak sun hours), assuming an efficient charge controller is used to minimize energy losses. If you have less sunlight or need a faster charge, you would need higher wattage panels or multiple panels to achieve the desired charging time.
