DIY solar panel for home, testing flexible solar panels. We use all types of solar, New & Used, Mono & Poly, Flexible & Portable. Today we are testing some very inexpensive flexible solar panels that are 110 watts. We tried using these several months ago and after just 5 days, they solar panels started to blister. It does not seem to reduce the output from the panels. But the plastic used seems to be melting.
I was quite surprised to get 838 watts out of 10-110 watt solar panels that were blistering. We were changing the batteries with 35 amps. I’m trying to se when these solar panels will fail after blistering. I can not recommend these for use so I will not include the link.

Can you use 2-12.8V batteries in series to make a 24V battery bank and should you use this set up. We look at the pros and cons of this set using 2-12.8V LiFePO4 batteries. We found some interesting things about this set up that might not be a good option.
