September solar update – 11.76kwp of solar panels and 30kWh battery storage = zero energy costs

September is a month of change but solar keeps generating

Bright mornings and evenings are now replaced with darkness, 60kwh peak days are now 45kwh peak days

But despite temperatures dropping and our energy needs changing we’re still generating a net credit of £125 in September

These videos updating month by month are as much for me , reminding me of the value of installing solar and our decisions to add extra panels and extra battery storage .

I maintain these things aren’t expensive when looked at in isolation . our garden solar cost less than some spend on a TV . Our heating system cost a bit more than a new boiler and our Mixergy hot water tank again a bit more than a traditional tank so although these things add up , people are spending this sort of money on other things .

It’s a simple choice to go electric , one step at a time
