What’s a unique source of electricity in your state?
I travelled to Telangana to experience something most of us never get to see – One of India’s largest floating solar power plant built by NTPC.
This wasn’t just a tour of power generating plant.
It was a journey into how electricity is actually made when land is limited and demand is rising.
I spent a day inside this floating plant to understand every layer of it:
– Walking on solar platforms that float and wobble on water
– Seeing 4 lakh solar panels generating electricity in real time
– Understanding how sunlight turns into power inside photovoltaic cells
– Exploring the control room that monitors every panel 24×7
– Learning how this plant saves water, and emissions at scale
– Witnessing NTPC take the lead towards sustainability with innovation
Through stories like this, we aim to show how India is quietly building solutions that balance innovation, scale, and sustainability.
Watch the video and tell me, what part of NTPC’s floating solar plant amazed you the most?
