29% of EV drivers in the UK have solar panels, according to a survey by Zapmap in 2023 – which makes EV drivers six times more likely to have solar panels than the national average. The two technologies go hand in hand, which is why lots of adverts for solar chargers talk so enthusiastically about “driving on sunshine” (thanks Josh).
