Ice and snow, bad on the solar panels. Use a dedicated broom to help keep them clean. Make sure that the broom has either never never been used on dirt, or it’s really cleaned. Don’t want dirt scratching them solar panels! Stevens County, Washington. Colville National Forest. December / Fall

Clearing snow from solar panels
This is the most snow we get, which is why our array is so close to the ground. So far we clear snow with tools we have on hand. Ideally we would have a larger squeegee, pole, and a leaf blower.
