I ended up using an installer called Endless Energy, who installed a 9.7 kW system (22 x Longi 440W panels) and a Solax 7.5 kW inverter.

Now my system’s been up and running for almost three months, I took a look at my first two power bills and compared them to my average bill over the last year with interesting results.
As you can see in the above video, even though my power consumption was twice the New Zealand average in the first month, my power bill was the lowest I’d ever seen. And wait until you see the second month!
I’ll do another follow up video in the coming months, so feel free to ask any questions you’d like answered and of course, hit the Subscribe button so you don’t miss that video when it’s out.

If you’re interested in getting your own solar panels installed on your roof, why not try this solar panel size calculator:https://www.genless.govt.nz/for-everyone/at-home/explore-solar-energy/solar-power-calculator/
It takes about 15 minutes to enter in all your details and it’ll suggest the right sized system.
